
A Small Italian Town Where Many Women Live to 100
Women in Bolotana, a town in central Sardinia, who turn 70 have a 13.8% chance of turning 100, versus 3.5% across Italy, making it second in the world after Hong Kong. Researchers from the Universities of Sassari and Alabama at Birmingham tracked women born from 1900 to 1925. Findings appeared in Frontiers in Aging.
