Big Ship Hit Near Qatar, People Hurt

A tanker was hit by several weapons 94 km north of Madinat ash Shamal, in waters where Qatar has economic rights, the British shipping monitor UKMTO said. Officials are investigating. UKMTO said people were hurt or killed, without details. Qatar had not commented; the ship's home country was unknown. The hit spreads danger west in a key oil-and-gas route.
