Woman Jailed Nearly 60 Years for Manson Murders Approved for Early Release

Patricia Krenwinkel, 78, was approved for parole — early release with supervision — Tuesday by California's Board of Parole Hearings. The former Charles Manson follower has spent nearly 60 years in prison for the 1969 Tate-LaBianca murders in Los Angeles. Found guilty in 1971, she was 21 when Sharon Tate, eight months pregnant, and six others were killed.
