Gulf storm could pause gas supply and raise heating bills

Reuters reported Oct. 5 a Gulf storm could pause U.S. oil and gas output and damage equipment, a risk noted Oct. 6. Less supply can raise prices, like fewer apples costing more. Near-term gas at Henry Hub, the U.S. benchmark, held near $3.16, per CME. My view: possible squeeze, not shortage, but home heating could cost more if flows slow.
