Kenya has its first Ebola case ever

Kenya confirmed its first Ebola case ever on 6 October 2026. A Kenyan man who had traveled from DR Congo was sick with a type called Bundibugyo, for which doctors have no approved shot to prevent infection. He died in a Nairobi hospital on 5 October and was safely buried. Nearby countries must now watch closely for further illness.
