Washington to vote on tax for millionaires

Washington voters will decide in November whether to cancel a 9.9% tax on income over $1 million, approved in March. It starts Jan. 1, 2028, with first payments due April 2029. Repeal supporters say it could later hit lower earners; Gov. Bob Ferguson says he would veto, or block, any expansion.
