
Denmark Says Hackers Stole Personal Details of 8.8 Million People
Hackers stole personal information for about 8.8 million people from Denmark's Central Person Register, the master list the country uses to track who lives there. The digital affairs ministry confirmed the theft on October 5, 2026, saying most of the list was taken. The 11-million-entry list includes current residents, Danes abroad and people who have died.
