CNN Leader to Stay After Big Company Buyout

Mark Thompson will keep leading CNN after Paramount completes its $110 billion purchase of Warner Bros. Discovery. Paramount confirmed Thompson on its future leadership team on October 5, 2026. He will answer to chief executive David Ellison and co-chief Ynon Kreiz and said the merged company will support independent news.
