
U.S. Plan to Let Regular People Buy Private Funds
U.S. government has proposed letting private-equity managers sell alternative investments — private funds outside normal stocks and bonds — to regular people, The Wall Street Journal reported Oct. 2. That would help managers find buyers. My worry: like cash tied up in selling a house, households often can't pull money out quickly.
