
New Zealand says no to Canada's defence bank
New Zealand has said no to Canada's invitation to join the Defence, Security and Resilience Bank. Foreign Ministry papers made public show Prime Minister Christopher Luxon was invited by Mark Carney in late April. Officials advised against joining in late July, and New Zealand gave Canada its answer in late August.
