Labour says local garages should get car repair information

Labour would make car companies share repair guides, computer programs and tools with local garages. Consumer Affairs spokesperson Arena Williams said some garages are turning away work because they lack the instructions. She pointed to Australia’s 2022 scheme, saying repairs there are 25 percent cheaper on average at local garages than dealerships.
