
App that beats internet blocks may leave Canada
Toronto-based Psiphon told The Globe and Mail it plans to leave Canada if Bill C-22 passes as written. Its app works like a detour around a roadblock, letting about 20 million people a month get past government internet blocks. It says the police-access bill would force it to weaken safety features protecting users in tightly controlled countries.
