National promises $1.75b to start first part of Mill Road

National would set aside $1.75 billion in the 2028 Budget to start the first part of Mill Road, between Manukau and Alfriston, if it leads the next government, transport spokesperson Chris Bishop said in Auckland with leader Christopher Luxon. Building would start in late 2028. The 21.5km four-lane road is on National's list of priority highways.
