28 Killed in Two Shootings Hours Apart in South Africa

28 people were killed Sept. 27 in two mass shootings hours apart in South Africa's townships — crowded, low-income neighborhoods — in its two biggest cities. Seventeen died at a bar in Wedela, Gauteng, near Johannesburg, and 14 more were hurt, the BBC reported. Police evidence teams split between two scenes may be slower to find answers.
