Fight between pilots sent Dubai-to-Tel Aviv plane into steep fall

Flydubai Flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv fell more than 17,000 feet — like dropping past a very tall mountain — in two minutes on Sept. 30 after the second pilot stabbed Capt. Smit Machchhar where the pilots fly the plane. With 174 people aboard, it had reached 34,000 feet when a 12-minute fight for control began.
