Tesla lets US drivers leave chargers quickly

Tesla on October 1, 2026 launched Emergency Drive Away for US Superchargers, its charging stations, letting drivers pull away while still plugged in during emergencies. Put the car in Drive while connected, hold the brake and tap Activate. It needs the newest software and excludes Model S and Model X made before 2021.
