Google to test a space computer Oct. 1

Google plans to launch its first Suncatcher test satellite Oct. 1, 2026, on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, Ars Technica and The New York Times reported. It will test doing AI computer work in space, like a data center floating above Earth. I read this as a cheap trial, not a real service yet.
