
Why Many Big Companies Paid Little Tax in Australia
More than one in four big companies in Australia paid little or no tax on profits in 2024-25, tax office public figures released 1 October 2026 show. The list covers businesses earning at least $100m in Australia. The tax office says it keeps a close eye on areas like datacentres, to check firms pay in line with business done here.
