More than a quarter of large firms paid little or no tax in Australia in 2024-25

More than one-quarter of large companies in Australia paid no or little corporate tax in 2024-25, according to Australian Taxation Office transparency data published 1 October 2026. The data covers entities with at least $100m in Australian income. The ATO says it reviews sectors like datacentres closely to ensure tax reflects local economic activity.
