Canada names new top diplomat to United Arab Emirates

Angad Singh Dhillon will be Canada's top diplomat in the United Arab Emirates starting Oct. 5. Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand announced the appointment, and Global Affairs spokesperson Charlotte MacLeod confirmed the date. His formal title — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary — means he speaks for Canada there.
