Mt Albert rivals meet again after 18-vote finish

Helen White, Labour's member of Parliament, will again face National's Melissa Lee in Mt Albert. White kept the Auckland area's place in Parliament at the 14 October 2023 election by 18 votes, 13,238 to 13,220, according to Electoral Commission figures. RNZ called it the slimmest of margins.
