UN to Revisit 25-Year-Old Plan Against Racism

On 28 September 2026, the UN General Assembly, where all member countries meet, will hold a top-level session for the 25th anniversary of the Durban Declaration and Programme of Action, the 153-page anti-racism plan from 2001 in Durban, South Africa. A short new pledge, not a law, is expected. Its wording will show if agreement holds.
