Child and two women die on crowded boat to England

A 10-year-old child and two women died Sept. 28, 2026 crossing the sea between France and England in a crowded rubber boat with 105 people. The boat made an emergency call near Wissant, about 14 miles from Calais. French rescuers treated the three, but a helicopter medical team said they had died. 102 people were rescued.
