NZ to stay in US-led space team until 2028

New Zealand will stay in Operation Olympic Defender, a US-led space project, for two more years to August 2028, the NZDF says. The role, started in 2024, keeps one New Zealand officer at US Space Command, the American space headquarters, in Colorado. The seven-country group pools space skills to keep space services safe and reliable.
