Senator Says Trump Backed the Wrong Candidate in Texas

Senator Thom Tillis said on CNN Sept. 27 that President Trump made a 'colossal mistake' backing Ken Paxton instead of Senator John Cornyn for the Republican choice for Texas Senate. He called it an 'unforced error' that endangered the seat, saying Republicans would not spend tens or hundreds of millions in Texas if Cornyn had won.
