Six People Die When Athens Home Collapses After Blast

Six people died when an early-morning blast — at 7:30am — caused a small, two-floor apartment building to fall down in seconds. It was at 15 Lysikratous Street in Plaka, Athens' old historic neighborhood. Rescue workers found the bodies Saturday, more than a day later. At least three others were injured. Mayor Haris Doukas called it an "unprecedented disaster."
