Six killed in Athens apartment collapse after explosion

Six people died when a two-storey apartment block at 15 Lysikratous in Athens' historic Plaka district collapsed in seconds after a 7:30am explosion. Emergency crews recovered the bodies on Saturday, more than 24 hours later. At least three others were injured. Athens mayor Haris Doukas called it an 'unprecedented disaster'.
