TikTok to Pay Alabama for Teen Safety Claims

TikTok will pay Alabama at least $100 million to end claims it misled parents about safety tools, like filters, to protect children from harmful content. The payment avoids a trial due Monday. Alabama describes it as the first state deal of its kind on social media and teen wellbeing. More than a dozen other states still have lawsuits against TikTok.
