Government says no to separate Māori health agency

Associate Health Minister Matt Doocey says the Government will not set up a separate health agency for Māori, even though the Waitangi Tribunal, which considers Treaty issues, recommended it. He said the Government will instead improve Māori health through its plan, Whiria Te Ora, the Māori Health Strategy, with better access, stronger services and better results.
