New Jersey's Second-in-Command Steps Down After Workplace Misconduct Findings

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell — the state's second-in-command — resigned Sept. 25, Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced. A 61-page review found believable evidence he sexually harassed others and broke workplace rules, including unwanted romantic advances toward a staffer's friend and seeking a promotion for his girlfriend. Sherrill had asked him to quit a day earlier.
