New Jersey lieutenant governor resigns after harassment, ethics findings

New Jersey Lt. Gov. Dale Caldwell resigned Sept. 25, Gov. Mikie Sherrill announced. The departure followed a 61-page investigation finding credible evidence of sexual harassment and ethics violations, including romantic advances toward a staffer's friend and advocacy for his girlfriend's promotion. Sherrill had called for his resignation a day earlier.
