Tesla's Battery-Powered Big Trucks Finally Reach Buyers

Tesla started handing over its battery-powered Semi, a large freight truck, to buyers in September 2026. It is now building many of them at a new factory in Reno, Nevada. The truck was first shown in 2017 and was supposed to enter production in 2019. The factory is next door to Tesla's first Gigafactory, its large battery plant.
