France Will Help Protect Saudi Oil Port of Yanbu

France will send soldiers, radar like eyes in the sky, and air defenses to guard Yanbu, a major Saudi Red Sea port where oil is shipped out, President Emmanuel Macron said September 24. The pledge came after Yemen's Houthi fighters, backed by Iran, fired long-distance missiles toward Yanbu that day, which Saudi forces say they blocked.
