Microsoft Drops Special Name for New Computers

Microsoft and other computer makers are quietly stopping use of the name Copilot+ PC, Windows Central and The Verge reported Sept. 24-25. The new 12-inch Surface Pro and 13-inch Surface Laptop are powerful enough to qualify but will not carry the name, Microsoft executive Brett Ostrom said. Qualcomm expects similar computers will probably drop it too.
