Literary agent Edite Kroll dies at 87

Literary agent Edite Kroll, meaning she negotiated deals for authors, died at home in Maine on 23 September after a long illness at age 87. Publishers Lunch published an obituary on 28 September. Kroll represented Shel Silverstein and Sandra Boynton. She began at Chatto & Windus in London, moved to New York in 1965 and later opened her own agency.
