Japan wants to buy more Canadian energy

Japan wants more Canadian energy to keep its economy safe, new ambassador Masashi Nakagome told The Globe and Mail. Japan already buys Canadian coal, oil and uranium for power. LNG Canada, which chills natural gas to liquid so ships can carry it, started sending it to Asia in June 2025.
