Iran Orders One Sister Executed, the Other Jailed for Years

Taraneh Rahimi has been sentenced to death in Iran; her twin Romina got 25 years in jail. Their family asked the United Nations for help on Sept. 24, 2026, through British lawyers. The 21-year-olds were taken by the Revolutionary Guard, Iran's special military, after joining January protests in Isfahan and convicted of moharebeh, meaning war against God.
