Vandalism at Xi Jinping-Named Restaurant in Seongnam, Suspects Leave Korea

Four masked Chinese nationals vandalized a restaurant in Seongnam, south of Seoul, named for Chinese leader Xi Jinping at about 2:40 a.m. on Sept. 24, smashing furniture and spraying lacquer — a thick paint — police said. They then left South Korea. The owner says the name was not political. Damage was estimated at about 15 million won.
