Family appeals to UN after Iranian twin sentenced to death, sister gets 25 years

The family of 21-year-old twins Taraneh and Romina Rahimi has appealed to the UN after Taraneh was sentenced to death and Romina to 25 years in prison. British lawyers filed a formal submission on Sept. 24, 2026. The sisters were seized by the Revolutionary Guard after joining January protests in Isfahan and convicted of moharebeh, waging war against God.
