OpenAI Hires Patreon Co-Founder to Build Tools for Creators

OpenAI has hired Sam Yam to lead tools for creators. Yam co-founded Patreon, where he ran technology for over 13 years, and shared the September 22 news on X. Former Patreon coworkers Drew Rowny, who ran products, and Shannon Ma, who ran engineering, are joining him to lead that effort.
