Justice Department asks judge to keep news outlets out of White House

The Justice Department asked a Washington, D.C., judge to deny CNN, MS NOW and Politico's request to restore White House access, in papers filed Tuesday. The news outlets sued Monday, saying the limits broke free-speech and fair-treatment rules in the Constitution. The department said access is a privilege, like a guest pass, not a right, citing behavior and safety concerns.
