UK rethinks plan to give back islands

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said the UK is rethinking its deal to hand over the Chagos Islands. He said the US government in Washington does not support the deal as written. Under the plan, Britain would give Mauritius ownership of the islands, then pay £101m a year to keep using the shared military base there.
