UK reviewing Chagos handover deal, Streeting confirms

Defence Secretary Wes Streeting said the UK is reviewing its Chagos Islands handover deal. He said Britain must reconsider because Washington does not support the agreement as drafted. The original terms would cede sovereignty to Mauritius and lease back the joint base for £101m a year.
