OpenAI Says Its New AI Does Better Work for Less

OpenAI says its GPT-6 Sol, set to think very hard, scored higher than Claude Opus 5 at its hardest setting on a test of AI doing work alone, at 9% of the price per task. OpenAI shared the comparison Sept. 16 alongside GPT-6 Sol and Luna.
