Sonos's New $699 Soundbar Brings Movie Theater Sound Home

Sonos priced its mid-size Beam Ultra soundbar at $699. It makes true 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos, theater sound from around and above, by bouncing sound off the ceiling with two upward speakers instead of faking it. It has nine custom speakers, five for high notes and four for bass, each with its own amplifier. It fits TVs up to 65 inches.
