Topeka Driver Found Guilty After Crash That Killed Teacher

A judge found 55-year-old Todd W. Armstrong guilty of causing death with a vehicle in the April 11, 2024 head-on collision that killed 24-year-old Topeka teacher Ashleigh Leeann Boyd. Judge Andrew Holmes decided the case after Armstrong pleaded not guilty. Punishment will likely be set in November. Armstrong said a tire burst; investigators saw no clear car problems.
