Paramount Settles Case to Buy Warner Bros.

Paramount has settled a legal challenge from 12 states, led by California Attorney General Rob Bonta, that tried to stop its $110 billion purchase of Warner Bros. over competition concerns. Bonta announced the settlement at a Los Angeles press conference on September 21, 2026. The deal can now close in early October.
