Man Sent to Prison for Spraying Lawmaker With Vinegar

Anthony Kazmierczak, 56, will spend 14 months in prison for spraying U.S. lawmaker Ilhan Omar with vinegar. The attack happened at a public meeting in Minneapolis on 27 January and Omar was not hurt. Kazmierczak admitted to assaulting a U.S. officer, or attacking a federal official. Federal judge Joan N. Ericksen gave the sentence under an agreement with prosecutors.
