14 Months for Vinegar-Spraying Attack on Rep. Omar

Anthony Kazmierczak, 56, will serve 14 months in prison for spraying Rep. Ilhan Omar with vinegar. He pleaded guilty to assaulting a U.S. officer — the charge covering attacks on members of Congress. U.S. District Judge Joan N. Ericksen sentenced him under a deal with prosecutors for the 27 January town hall incident in Minneapolis. Omar was not injured.
