Fewer Lasers Pointed at Planes Through July

Pilots reported 4,470 cases of lasers on the ground pointed at planes from January to July 2026, down 24 percent from the same months in 2025, the Federal Aviation Administration said. The drop makes a third straight year of declines since the record high in 2021.
